Hyundai Elantra top-selling in the U.S. & Canada


Economic climate in the United States may not be conducive, but it did not make the sluggish sales of Hyundai in the U.S.. The South Korean manufacturer reported sales of 600 thousand units, the best the first time in 25 years in the U.S..

Hyundai Elantra be a variant of leading Canadian and United States. The redesigned Elantra, able to increase sales by an increase of 43 percent, from 151,735 in 2010 and jumped to 216,331 this year.

"Elantra became a big phenomenon in the compact sedan segment. In November, retail sales Elantra up 37 percent . Significant Intense competition from all brands such as Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus and Honda Civic," said John Krafcik, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor America.

New Elantra also proved successful in Canada. Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. CEO Steve Kelleher commented, Elantra continues to record sales in Canada. Elantra comes with a design, advanced safety features and fuel efficiency that makes the car a perfect variant.

For the future, Hyundai Elantra will be prepared and two-door coupe model has been tested in California. Expected to be present at next February at the Chicago Auto Show 2012.
